Mr. White is an 88 year old who was admitted from the hospital to our facility at Park Manor of Quail Valley secondary to surgery needed in the brain to remove the blood clot after a fall. When he was admitted, he was unable to ambulate and needed 75%-100% (maximum) assistance from nursing staff and the therapists with transfer and positioning. He also needed maximum assistance with toileting, dressing and brushing his teeth. Additionally, he was very confused needing 24/7 supervision to prevent further fall.
After two weeks of therapy and nursing care at Park Manor of Quail Valley, Mr. White is now ambulating with Rolling Walker up to 200 ft needing just supervision or touching assistance. He is now able to transfer in and out of bed without help. Also, Mr. White is able to perform all bathroom activities including but not limited to toileting, showering, and brushing his teeth with only supervision and at times without help.
He is very alter now and does not need 24/7 supervision like he did when he first got admitted. With just two more weeks of therapy, Mr. White will be ready to return home independently. We say bravo to Mr. White for the hard work, the therapy and nursing staff at Park Manor of Quail Valley for the care!
